Course Description
Case Managers learn how Remote Supports fosters a supportive learning environment for individuals with I/DD, thus creating opportunities practicing making decisions and living a more self-directed life.
Case Managers will learn how Remote Supports enables safe and independent living for individuals with I/DD using non-restrictive technology and trained remote staff.
Remote Supports meets the needs of person-centered planning starting with a comprehensive strengths-based consultation process. This course will empower case managers to share Remote Supports to help individuals with I/DD achieve their hopes and dreams of independent living.
This course is FREE to case managers compliments of SafeinHome. Check with your credentialing body as it relates to continuing education credits.
About the Subject Matter Expert
Ann Eubank, LMSW, OTR/L, ATP, CAPS has focused her career on the use of technology to increase opportunities for independence within the community of people with disabilities. She has a background in research and development, nonprofit management and systems change. Most recently she worked within the Employment Community First Program in Tennessee facilitating the adoption of technology use for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ann has presented peer-reviewed papers nationally and internationally since 1995.
